WHY A BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL?
There is something about the spring time in Wilmington that makes us want to get out and celebrate. There is also something about Bluegrass music that seems to go hand in hand with the warmer weather. A springtime Bluegrass Festival seemed appropriate.
Better yet, what is bluegrass without some traditional NC Style BBQ? Okay, we'll throw that into the mix with some local craft brew for good measure.
Sound like the perfect day? Well, it certainly is. The best things about our local culture all rolled up into a single, all-day event - we hope that you will bring a lawn chair and join us for a day full of great music, food and fun.

About the festival ...
The Cape Fear Bluegrass Festival is sponsored and presented by Saint Basil Orthodox Church as a way to celebrate those things that are local and worthy of celebrating. We have a rich cultural heritage in the Cape Fear region, so why not celebrate it?
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Children at Heart - a local not for profit adoption agency that supports both adoptive parents and single mothers.
